The wedding will take place at 6:30 in the evening at the The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology & Anthropology. The doors will open at six o'clock, and cocktails, dinner, and dancing will follow the ceremony on the premises. The whole museum will be open to explore throughout the evening. There will be a dedicated, air-conditioned room where parents whose children have worn them out can take a break.
Please be aware that many of the building's wonderful spaces are not air-conditioned. As the city can be hot and humid in September, we suggest light summer attire, or if you prefer, clothes suitable for an archeological excavation.
Shuttles will be available for transportation between the Penn Museum and the hotels. A shuttle will leave from the Mariott at approximately 5:00pm and 5:30pm and will stop at the Sofitel on the way to the museum. There will be a final shuttle at approximately 6:00pm from the Sofitel, only. The return shuttles will leave the museum at approximately 10:30pm, 11:15pm, and 11:45pm, and will travel to both hotels.
Parking is available at the museum, in Lot 7 at the corner of South Street and Convention Avenue, at a night rate of $11.
SEPTA is an easy way to get to and from the airport, as well as large portions of the entire city. Taxis are a common way to get around Center City; they are generally easy to find.
